Email App with Scheduled Sending Ability
Description: Mobile email client with send, reply, forward features and ability to schedule email sending.
Client: Private entrepreneur, USA.
Challenge: Our client requested us to develop email mobile client with several key features: the app had to display most recent emails with no delays from several email addresses, all mail should be grouped in folders. Our customer also wanted to implement a schedule sending features, so that even if you close the app it will send email at stated time.Since iOS apps can’t leave such processes in background, we had to find a way how to schedule emails and send them on time anyway.
Solution: In order to develop convenient mobile app with full set of features we used imap email protocol to access emails anytime from different email addresses. The user can easily receive, send and forward emails using the app. All mail is sorted into the Inbox, Outbox and Spam folders. We also enabled rare but useful feature to schedule emails’ sending. The issue was resolved by server side, that sent emails according to the schedule.
