Language Switching Plugin For Confluence Website
Description: Confluence-based language switching plugin for Atlassian software development company’s website.
Customer: US private entrepreneur.
Challenge: Our customer had previously developed a Confluence-based website with us and decided to make it multilingual. Since it was operated by Confluence platform, there was no way to enable language switching for users outside the platform. Despite there is a default language switching within Confluence, only registered users can apply it. So our customer also requested to enable both registered and external users to switch between the languages so that not only in-page content was translated, but users could be also redirected to the relevant page with the necessary content and appropriate language version.
Solution: In order to enable language switching within the website, we’ve created two independent Confluence spaces. By clicking on a flag icon users are automatically redirected to the appropriate webpage language version with the same content. This plugin allows switching languages for both registered and third-party users.
