Plugin to Manage Images in Medical Software
Description: Special plugin to expand the medical software’s features that allows to read scanned images and store them together with all patient-related info.
Client: US medical software company.
Challenge: Our client provides medical centers with healthcare software. For us the task was to develop special plugin to read out scanned images, save them to the computer and keep information about patients together with relevant pictures. The idea had to be implemented in the form of plugin so that anytime it could expand the functionality of any primary program. Among the basic plugin features the client wished to receive: image source and tools to edit pictures. All image metadata had to be arranged and properly stored.
Solution: Our team developed a robust plugin that was compliant with various devices. In order to enable search and listing of images, we created special plugin manager so that users could find the necessary image and even choose and enable device-specific settings at their convenience. To make the process fast and handy we included special tools for image processing: select the image, choose the necessary tools and remove those not needed. Some tools were multifunctional and could be activated on a special panel. All images could also be edited using built-in features.
