Website For Events
Description: Pinterest-like website where users can find events nearby, book tickets, check feedback and watch video-trailers of the events.
Client: the UK.
Challenge: Our customer enjoys the idea and interface of Pinterest social network. So he wanted to create something similar but for events only. So that users could filter the most relevant and interesting event for them. The key challenge was enabling online payment, so that users could not only book tickets but also buy them without leaving the website and avoid redirecting users to external resources.
Solution: Before getting to the development our client provided us with the website design. We managed to set up a website where users could search for nearby events using the following filters: location, category and type of the event (concert, theatre, nightclub part). Users can also view video teasers for each event, learn how many people are going to attend and add events on the “to-go” list. Currently only admins can access it (update dashboards, adds events, publishes updates etc.), but we plan to add registration for those who want to add an event and invite people. We also implemented a day/night filter, so users can sort them out by time. Online payment is now available through Seagteek.com API.
